Dave, Grizzly Mountain Arts, handcrafted this 2 ¾ inch shuttle out of Walnut. I made this kiln fired ceramic cameo of the Three Muses (or Three Graces) with a pink glaze for him to inset into the shuttle. The burn etched motif is one of Dave's favorites because it looks so classical and also makes the shuttle look like a little musical instrument. This shuttle has a hand rubbed bees wax satin finish. This shuttle has been initialed and dated by Dave. An additional photo may be viewed at the Ebay auction for this piece.

A Little Cross Promotion!
Many of you that enjoy our Ogham jewelry have told us that you are involved in the SCA, so I thought I would do a little cross promotion for some of our newest items in our Grizzly Mountain Arts Etsy shop :)
Dave has just completed 8 new fossil ivory nalbinding needles. He made these ooak medieval needles from a variety of materials including deer antler and fossil walrus and mammoth ivory. These can be found in the Fiber Art Tool section of our GMA Etsy shop. The gorgeous blue fossil mammoth ivory nalbinding needle in the photo is currently up for auction on Ebay.

Getting Ready for the Holidays!
There haven't been any new additions to our "Good Dirt Jewelry" Big Cartel shop recently, and the reason being, we have a huge show coming up!
Grizzly Mountain Arts will be participating in the Native American Festival in Sisters, Oregon the last weekend in August. This wonderful show is held each year in Creekside Park, which is a perfect venue. The sight, smell and sounds of tall Ponderosa pines mixed with Native American flute music is beyond description.
What does this have to do with the Big Cartel shop? The Native American Festival will be one of our last shows of the season, so I will be adding new "Good Dirt" pieces in time for some early holiday shopping. Please give us a bookmark and check back frequently to see what we may have added.
